The mirror tint effect on the shades are very nice as are the overall design of the shades. The only downside is the Orange plastic across the middle of the classes this does look very 1980's and does cheapen the effect.
 If these are military spec, the army's in real trouble June 20, 2010

It's just as well I bought these during a sale. If I'd paid full price for them I'd feel even more silly right now.
The frames are flimsy and feel like they could snap at any moment, not to mention their lopsided appearance evidencing shoddy manufacturing. The hook arms are also uncomfortable to wear. Unlike most reviewers I'm not so bothered by the orange bar at the top, but the only thing I actually like about these glasses is the mirrored lenses.
I haven't worn them outside and don't intend to. What's more, I am rather appalled by what must surely be the barefaced lies of the manufacturer when they imply that these are the same glasses as are issued by the US military, which was the main thing that drew me to buy them. I have totally lost faith in this seller and will not be buying from them again.

like the sunglasses for the money paid, not to much of a worry if get lost or broken,case is cheap looking but for the money paid thats no worry at all,lets hope for some sun in the u.k. recommend to buy if you want a sturdy pair of sunglasses.{they dont look cheap}

The pics look good and the design of the lenses are nice to look at also the tint level of darkness is also acceptable. However a bit uncomfrtable as the rings that wrap around the ear hook on uncomfortable, ideally this is for high speed sports etc when you dotn want your sun glasses flying away from your face!

On reading other peoples reviews, i was generally considering cancelling my order of these, as apparently, they were really uncomfortable. When they arrived, i wore them the way someone else had said, with the springy "hooks" round my ears, and sure enough, they were massively uncomfortable. However, that is when i realised they are not supposed to be worn like that. The hooks should not even go round your ears, they are just there to "squeeze" onto your head, and when you wear them correctly, the annoying "orange bar" everyone talks about comes in contact with your head. Once you wear them like that, they feel like any other pair of sunglasses.
So, what are they like?
Well, the packaging wasn't great, but then again, i just throw packaging into the recycling bin, so i am not too worried about that. The glasses mirror well, and they certainly look very cool. Im not too sure about how robust they actually are, as the "lever" bit between the lens and the arms feel a bit stiff, and fragile.
The case is plastic, and its a shame that they couldn't be bothered to put the belt loop thing on the back to be genuine, but then again, mines being kept in my jacket pocket.
Because they have the springy things on the arms, the glasses are smaller when folded compared to their counterparts, I can imagine that being benefical in the army, but i don't know if they were actually like this, and be under on illusions, these are not GENIUNE military glasses, they are afterall replicas,buts thats ok.
So overall?
Once you figure out how to wear the properly (i.e. the loops SHOULDN'T go round your ears, the bottom part of the loop should be above your ear) they are fairly cool pair of shades. The orange bar can slightly ruin the look, but its not really that big a deal, considering it makes it sit on your face better, as well as make it more comfortable.
But as they feel fragile, and the plastic pouch felt like it was missing a trick, i think its worth 3-4 stars
